Emotional Intelligence Training

Program Details

Human beings are born with emotions. The primary implication of emotion is “any agitation or disturbance of mind, feelings, passion, and any vehement or excited mental state” for example anger, sadness, fear, enjoyment etc. Researches have shown that understanding of emotional management helps managers to have better interpersonal skills. Daniel Goleman, an American psychologist who popularized Emotional Intelligence (EI) talks about five main elements of emotional intelligence.

  1. Self Awareness
  2. Self Regulation
  3. Empathy
  4. Motivation
  5. Social Skills

To be an effective manager you must have a concrete understanding of how your emotions and actions affect the people around you. The better a leader relates to and works with others, the more successful he or she will be. Take the time to work on self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Working in these areas will definitely help you excel in the future!

  • Understanding the importance of emotions management
  • Accepting and working on one’s emotions
  • Better interpersonal relationship
  • Improved team spirit
  • Understanding stakeholders like customers, vendors etc.

Attended excellent session on Emotional intelligence by Dr. Aparna Sethi. Very informative and useful in today's competitive scenario. Made me understand how I can identify, analyse and manage my own emotions effectively to be a better person. Must attend for everyone. In fact high time now these topics should be included in school curriculum. After all EI or EQ is more important than IQ.
