Emotional Intelligence Training

Program Details

Human beings are born with emotions. The primary implication of emotion is “any agitation or disturbance of mind, feelings, passion, and any vehement or excited mental state” for example anger, sadness, fear, enjoyment etc. Researches have shown that understanding of emotional management helps managers to have better interpersonal skills. Daniel Goleman, an American psychologist who popularized Emotional Intelligence (EI) talks about five main elements of emotional intelligence.

  1. Self Awareness
  2. Self Regulation
  3. Empathy
  4. Motivation
  5. Social Skills

To be an effective manager you must have a concrete understanding of how your emotions and actions affect the people around you. The better a leader relates to and works with others, the more successful he or she will be. Take the time to work on self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Working in these areas will definitely help you excel in the future!

  • Understanding the importance of emotions management
  • Accepting and working on one’s emotions
  • Better interpersonal relationship
  • Improved team spirit
  • Understanding stakeholders like customers, vendors etc.

I would like to thank Dr. Aparna for organizing such a wonderful session on EI. I really appreciate the way she gave attention to each individual. Overall it was a complete package consisting of introspection and finding oneself. Highly recommend it if you are truly interested in developing your human character/ emotions.

Protouch offers practical and hands-on training sessions. The sessions I have attended are held in a relaxed atmosphere with everyone feels comfortable to share their experiences. It increases participation and one can make the best out of the session leaving inhibitions behind. Looking forward to the next one.
