    Trust and Safety are the most vital elements to form a healthy coaching relationship. The strategy of
    coaching is laid with these two things. Without them, the purpose of serving the clients will be of no
    use – neither to the giver nor the receiver. A coach needs to connect strongly with the client and these
    two are real adhesives which help clients to connect with their coach and vice versa. True coaching can
    resume only when the clients feel at ease to share their thoughts, feelings and struggles they are going
    through.

    As per the illustration of the International Coaching Federation, trust and safety are the essential skills
    for good coaches. Clients expect that they should be heard, their feelings can be best expressed by
    them only if the coach builds a strong relation with them through trust and providing them safety at all
    levels of talk. By maintaining their confidentiality, the coach can step strongly, hence building trust and
    safety for them.

    Clients open up with their coaches only when they observe the presence of these two elements in their
    coaches. They can talk openly and share their fears. They will not avoid or hide issues, but share the
    things that bother them in life-full of challenges. And the clients usually have more challenges and
    struggles in their lives. They yearn for respect and motivation to achieve certain goals in their lives. The
    coaches can provide them a secure environment where they may try new things and drift themselves
    away from the worries of being judged or analysed. Respecting each others’ feelings, both the coach
    and the client can build healthy partnership.

    The strong partnership has the foundation of trust and safety. The coaches can help themselves by
    providing trust to their clients by listening carefully, honestly and showing concern towards them .
    Secondly, the secrets of clients should be well preserved by the coaches. The clients do not expect to
    be judged but they need to be supported with their ideas and opinions. Most of the people deal with
    stress at hidden feelings, then the purpose of right coaching will also fail with no productive outcome
    of their limited talks. Most of the people deal with stress at workplace, in their career, building goals,
    or personal lives. But if they fail to express their fears and hidden feelings, then the purpose of right
    coaching will also fail with no productive outcome out of their limited talks. At such times, a client might
    feel the need to be appreciated and feel comfortable by their coach.
    The actual thought is that trust and safety are the base of good partnership between the coach and the
    client. With the presence of these two powerful skills, clients find friends within the coaches with whom
    they can open up and converse freely. The clients have of course an urgent need to get all the doubts
    and feelings off their chest.
    Finally, coaches ought to develop trust and safety to maintain healthier, stronger, and more respectful
    relation with their clients.
